The MGA held its season opener on May 1st with the Yellow Ball Tournament. The format was a combined 3-player scramble/1-player net (playing a yellow ball), with all of the players rotating through the yellow ball position. Each team was given three yellow balls and at the end of the round each team got a one-stroke deduction for each remaining yellow ball. The format was well received and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. Congratulations to all the winners.

Ringer cards have been posted in the men’s locker room, so remember to update your pars and birdies after each round. This is a tournament anyone of us has a shot to win. If you did not participate last year, stop by the pro shop and have them sign you up. It is a good idea to check the bulletin board in the pro shop for upcoming tournaments and other events.

The Two Man Team Match Play tournament began May 24th. Encourage those participating and root for your favorites.
