RACQUET SPORTS TIP
From: Kevin Cretella, The Director of Racquet Sports

“Staying in Rhythm with the Ball”
If someone hits you a floaty short ball, particularly in doubles, quickly gauge whether you can sprint quickly forward and hit a volley between your shoulder and hip level as this is the ideal play. If you don’t believe you’re quick enough and you feel by the time you sprint up to the ball, it will be at your shoelace level, then it’s better to slow down or stop altogether and let the ball bounce up between your shoulder and hip level and hit a groundstroke approach shot. Try this out the next time you play tennis and let me know how it works for you!

FUN FACT!
According to the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA), the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) 2015 Participant Report found that almost two and a half million people play pickleball in the United States.
